Case ICA-2024-06: Attraction lodged by Ferrari AF Corse in opposition to Resolution No. 80 dated 12 Could 2024 taken by the Stewards of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) counting in the direction of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)
On 11 Could 2024, in the course of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, additional to a race incident, a purple flag was deployed at 17:13 and the race suspended. At 18:49, the Stewards determined by Resolution No. 71 to renew the race at 19:10 for 1 hour and 44 minutes in accordance with Article 14.3.1 of the 2024 WEC Sporting Laws.
On 11 Could 2024, at 22:03, Ferrari AF Corse lodged a protest in opposition to Stewards’ Resolution No. 71 and the provisional classification posted on 11 Could 2024 at 21:46. Ferrari AF Corse was summoned to attend a listening to throughout which it confirmed that the protest was lodged in opposition to Resolution No. 71 and consequently in opposition to the provisional classification.
On 12 Could 2024, at 00:12, the Stewards by determination No. 80 rejected the protest on the idea that Stewards’ selections can’t be the topic of a protest below Article 13.2.1 of the FIA Worldwide Sporting Code.
On 12 Could 2024, at 00:45, the ultimate classification of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was posted, confirming the provisional classification.
On 15 Could 2024, the Appellant lodged an attraction in opposition to the Stewards’ Resolution No. 80 earlier than the ICA.

The Courtroom, after having heard the events and examined their submissions, determined to uphold Resolution No. 80 of the Stewards of the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) counting in the direction of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The Worldwide Courtroom of Attraction was presided over by Mr Nish SHETTY (Singapore), and included, Mr Xavier BONE (Spain), Mr Tomas BOREC (Slovakia) and Mr Mark KLETTER (Austria).
