Simon Crafar to develop into Chairman of FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Panel from 2025
The New Zealander will take over from Freddie Spencer within the position because the American concludes his tenure on the finish of 2024.
Simon Crafar can now be confirmed as the following Chairman of the FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Panel. Crafar, a 500cc Grand Prix winner and long-time pit reporter for the MotoGP™ Worldwide Programme Feed, will tackle the brand new position from 2025.
The New Zealander will take over from the outgoing Freddie Spencer, because the MotoGP™ Legend has taken the choice to step away from his place on the conclusion of the 2024 season.
Spencer’s tenure started in 2019 upon creation of the place of Chairman of the FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Panel as a stand-alone position. The Chairman of the panel is nominated by the groups’ affiliation (IRTA), and their appointment then accepted by the Everlasting Bureau.
Alongside the Chairman, the panel is accomplished by two different Stewards, each of whom are nominated by the FIM and accepted by the Everlasting Bureau.
Simon Crafar can now be confirmed because the Chairman of the FIM MotoGP™ Steward Panel from 2025, to work alongside present FIM MotoGP™ Stewards Andrés Somolinos and Tamara Matko.
